home | mission | programs | faculty & staff | facilities | student groups | advisory board Transportation Facilities As America rebuilds its transportation infrastructure, the need for Civil Engineers in pavement design will continue to grow in the future. The department supports a Transportation Laboratory in which students can learn how to work with pavement materials. Used in cooperation with the Materials Testing Laboratory, the department now has capabilities to perform many new Superpave tests, which are setting the standard for future pavement analysis.
