| Hydraulics Facility |
In south Louisiana, close to sea level, rainfall drainage can be a challenge.
Other issues such as salt-water intrusion and coastal restoration are equally
challenging for civil engineers. The Hydraulics Laboratory contains modeling
equipment used to demonstrate the properties of water in open and closed
channels. Students can easily visualize these concepts using this equipment.
