CASTS facilities, a collection of state-of-the-art computer hardware, software, and database, allow the users to collect, manage, and analyze large volume of spatially referenced data and their associated attributes. As a decision support system, users can integrate graphic entities with numeric data within a specialized data management system having spatial modeling and temporal database allows it to be valuable source of information in a research and development environments.
 
Network
  • Computers networked via 24-port 3COM Smartstack II Ethernet switch
  • All printers/plotters are networked to this switch using Hewlett Packard Jet Direct Print Servers
Server
  • MS Win 2000 Pro, P4-1.0 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 68 GB SCSI HD, CD-ROM, and 17" high-resolution monitor.
Workstations (7)
  • MS Win 2000 Pro, P3-500 MHz to P4-3.0 GHz CPU, 256 MB to 3 GB RAM, 20 to 105 GB HD, CD-ROM, and 17" high-resolution monitor (one with 21" high-resolution monitor), five with Zip 100 or Zip 250.

  • Hewlett-Packard 25000 large format plotter with 96 MB RAM
  • Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 4000 printer with 32 MB RAM
  • Hewlett-Packard DeskJet 1120C printer
  • Hewlett-Packard Color LaserJet 5 printer
